This song came across my mind all of a sudden.

What a friend we have in Jesus
What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!

Oh, what peace we often forfeit,
Oh, what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer!

Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged—
Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Can we find a friend so faithful,
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
Take it to the Lord in prayer.

13 years ago while I was in primary 3, grandpa thought me this song.
1 year later I learnt this song on guitar but back then I didn't know what does it really mean.
I may understand the lyrics and the phrases, but I didn't know the vast of it.
But after this long while, now, I finally know how does it personally meant for me.

Thank you Lord, for moulding me all these years.
Now I see the big picture of your plans.
And I believe that this is not the end of my understandings for this song.
As years goes by I will understand and discover more and more from this song,
the very first song that had brought me to you.
Thank you for being so faithful to me.
Thank you for being my friend.
This is a simple prayer from me, as I know that it is the heart that You seek, and not the words.
Amen.
